Mary Beth Carey

Mary Beth Carey has over 24 years of experience in higher education admissions, financial assistance, recruitment and counseling. She has been the Director of Admissions at Marist College, College of Saint Elizabeth and Saint Peter’s College, and the Dean of Admissions at Hofstra University. While at Hofstra she became the Assistant Vice President and Dean of Admissions and was then promoted to Vice President for Enrollment Services. Mary Beth is currently the Dean of Admissions and Financial Services at Drew University in Madison, N.J. She is a member of NACAC, NJACAC, NYACAC, NEACAC, AACROA, MSACROA, and is a frequent panel member and presenter at national conferences and seminars. Topics she has presented on at various meetings and seminars include, Developing Effective Admission Publications, Effective Implementation of a Geo-demographic Analysis, Effective Use of Marketing and Advertising in the College Recruitment Process and The Admissions Interview.

Mary Beth has a Bachelor of Arts from Marist College in Poughkeepsie, N.Y.; she has also attended the Financial Aid Institute at Bentley College in Waltham, Mass., the Marketing in Higher Education Conference in Atlanta, Ga., and the Summer Institute on College Admissions at Harvard University in Cambridge, Mass.
